The theme for the NAACP SIP is Know Thy Neighbor. That "neighbor" can be your friend, your actual neighbor, or a pet, maybe even Mother Nature. I don't really like my actual neighbors--well that isn't totally true. I'm just not very social around them.
So lets write about a friend! I've already got a post on Stormy, maybe Nicole would enjoy the honor of being my center of attention for an entire 15 minutes? Chill, she said yes!
Nicole is an excellent friend. She is my best female friend even though we haven't known each other for that long. We met during our freshman year of high school in English 1 Honors. Things we had in common during that class:
1) We hated the work
2) We were failing the class
3) We ended up barely passing with a very low C due to the major extra credit Mrs. Reed was willing to give us (Thank you!)
4) Almost everyone in the class hated us, except for Stormy and Summer.
5) We were the only people that enjoyed acting out Romeo and Juliet
6) We didn't take anything seriously
7) We didn't care that people hated us, we actually did our best to annoy them at times
8) When we were seriously trying to do the work, we were distracted by anything and everything.
(I did get Nicole's stamp of approval for this extremely accurate list)
Sadly, Nicole is straight. But that's never stopped me from flirting with her, and even sometimes being her lesbian lover! We agreed that if an ugly guy was hitting on one of us, we'd pretend to be together to get said ugly dude to go away.
